Policies & Compliance

Terms of Service

These terms govern the use of this website, membership of the society, and attendance at our events and demonstrations.

01

Use of this website

The content of this site is published for information and education. Text, photographs and illustrations are the property of the society or used with permission and may not be reproduced commercially without written consent. Non-commercial educational use with attribution is welcome.

02

Membership

Membership is granted at the discretion of the committee and is conditional on written acceptance of the Animal Welfare & Ethical Code of Conduct. Membership may be suspended or terminated for any breach of that code, for any act contrary to Maltese or EU wildlife law, or for conduct that brings the society into disrepute.

03

Events and demonstrations

Attendees must follow the instructions of the falconer in charge at all times. Birds may not be touched, fed or photographed with flash. Children must remain with a responsible adult. We may refuse admission or ask a person to leave where the welfare of a bird or the safety of the public requires it.

04

No veterinary or legal advice

Information on this site is general. It is not veterinary advice, nor legal advice on the keeping of birds of prey. Always consult a licensed avian veterinarian and the competent Maltese authorities.

05

Liability

The society takes all reasonable care at its activities. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or attendance at an event where our instructions were not followed.

06

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malta, and the Maltese courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
