We are a Maltese voluntary organisation of licensed falconers, wildlife carers and educators. For years our members have kept the historic craft of falconry alive on these islands, cared for injured birds of prey, and taught thousands of Maltese schoolchildren why raptors deserve protection rather than the gun.

Four Pillars
We document, practise and teach the traditional methods of the Maltese and wider Mediterranean falconry tradition — hood making, telemetry-assisted free flight, manning, and the historic texts of De Arte Venandi cum Avibus.
Members support the care of injured and grounded kestrels, harriers, honey buzzards and falcons recovered during the spring and autumn migrations, working alongside licensed veterinarians.
Free classroom sessions and courtyard demonstrations across Malta and Gozo explain migration, food chains, legal protection and why a wild raptor is worth more alive.
We hold our members to a written code covering housing, weight management, veterinary access, transport, and absolute respect for Maltese and EU wildlife law.
From the Field
Autumn Passage
Our annual exhibition of historic falconry furniture — hoods, jesses, bells and swivels made by hand by our members — drew families from across the south of Malta, with static displays and a talk on the emperor-falconer Frederick II.
Spring Programme
Eleven schools hosted our educators for a week of sessions on protected species, illegal hunting and what a pupil should do when they find a grounded bird of prey.
Ongoing
During both migration seasons our members remain on call to help transport injured raptors to veterinary care and to assist recognised rehabilitation efforts on both islands.

We operate our administration, member records and educational correspondence on Google Workspace for Nonprofits, granted on the basis of our registered voluntary organisation status. No part of our work is commercial: all funds received are applied to raptor care, educational materials and the upkeep of our facilities.
